Additional notes
They took their name from the movie Flesh for Frankenstein, in which Baron Frankenstein (played by Udo Kier) is searching for the perfect Serbian nasum to create a new master race (you can hear the right pronunciation [Na:sum] at the beginning of the song “Blind World”, as they used an excerpt of that movie for the intro).
Singer/guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk was confirmed deceased when the body was identified on February 17th, 2005. He was killed in the Tsunami disaster in Asia. Anders Jakobson officially announced that Nasum will no longer continue, as of May 26th, 2005.
Although the 2-CD compilation "Grind Finale" (which holds the record on the Metal-Archives as the release with the most tracks (152)) was supposed to be Nasum’s last release they will put out a split album with Napalm Death some day, which will contain tracks from 3 live shows in Japan from January 2004.
Mieszko also had his own studio, Soundlab, where various metal bands (such as Insision and Coercion) recorded albums as well as him being somewhat of a cult producer.
