New Ifernach EP, sequel to the "Wastow" EP released last year. Sounding more akin to their sound before the last full length, although not exactly the same, the barbarian from Gespegewagi lands manages to always sound refreshing from release to release.
Another brilliant work put, put ou through Les Productions Hérétiques on cassette and on digital from the band's bandcamp.
Waqan was written during a journey alongside the North River in Pabog, Gespegewagi, evoking the path of the ancient wood-runners and traders that managed to survive in native territory. Two gespegewagi traditionnal black and savage metal tracks, in honor of a lost epoch ; with woods and rivers abounding in great species, where only the natives could find their way to successful hunting treasures. A logical sequel to Wastow, but this time, our hero is a French Canadian who supposedly betrayed the crown of France, and his native allies. Fatally dismembered on the torture pole by his son and brother, we shall remember a time of dangerous alliance, disloyalty and the beginning of politics in the chaotic lawless woods of Quebecq.
