About:
Dusk is known to be the originator of the entire metal scene in Pakistan. Playing Death Metal for the initial years of existence, by the late nineties the sound eventually turned more towards Progressive / Symphonic Metal. The lineup of Faraz and Babar continued the band for many years with two world wide releases. In late 2004 after touring the Czech Republic with the likes of Textures, Coward, Susperia and Dying Passion, Babar decided to continue the band on his own due to musical differences & circumstances beyond his control. Through 2005, Babar worked with composer/sound wizard Ismail to create a very experimental Dusk record called 'Contrary Beliefs' featuring eastern classical folk ragas blended with atmospheres. This album marked the end of an era for Dusk playing atmospheric / theatrical music.
Dusk returned to playing the Metal of Death & Doom in the year 2006, with Babar passing on the vocal duties to long time friend and fellow metal comrade Yusri Maha Durjana of Cardiac Necropsy fame. Aman Durrani (Guitar), Noxaleem (Violin) & Akhter Qayyum (Percussions / Chants) were also recruited recently to complete the latest four song offering by Dusk titled Dead Heart Dawning.
