I have made a proxomitron filter thus the nag message "All download slots assigned to your country (...) are currently in use. Please try again in a few hours or install the Megaupload Toolbar for immediate access " can be bypassed without downloading their crappy supposedly spyware toolbar. It's tested on firefox only. Maybe it works with IE too.

You have a choice here.

Choice 1:
Use my prepacked proxomitron:

Put it together for yourself:

You will need the software called 'Proxomitron'. It's here:
http://www.proxomitron.info/

After downloading proxomitron extract it anywhere (preferrably to 'c:\program files\proxomitron) and
copy the attached 'default.cfg' inside its directory overwriting the original 'config.cfg'.

This is the compulsory part regardless how you set your proxomitron filter up:
At this point you must already have the proxomitron with my 'default.cfg'.

Start proxomitron and it will be up an running on port 4123.
Now you have to set up your proxy in firefox to 127.0.0.1 / 4123.
To do this go to: Firefox -> Tools menu -> Options menuitem -> Advanced tab -> Connection -> Settings button.
Check 'Manual proxy configuration'. In the first line type:
Http proxy: 127.0.0.1 Port: 4123
You can leave the other fields empty.

Click Ok, and you are done. Please let me know if it works for you!

Please note, that from this point you need to run proxomitron along with your browser,
because it uses it as a proxy server. Furthermore you will have to allow proxomitron's
http access so it will not be stopped by firewalls.
