Extended info
Real Name: Niiko
Profile:The single Asmorod demo tape was recorded during the winter 1994 by Niiko, at the age of 17 years old.
Three years later the project released a temperate first CD made in collaboration with Sator Absentia, in fact closer to Sator's albums on Dark Vinyl than the cryptic ambiences of laters Asmorod.
In 1998 and 1999 Asmorod produced the two acclaimed ultra obscure death-atmospheric albums “A Faint Light Below” and “Derelict”, respectively on Bastet records and Tesco Organisation.
Being too absorbed by Kurotokage and net-design, Niiko stopped momentarily to compose under that alias until 2005, where a new CD was recorded.
Throughout years, the project evolved in a more ambient direction, opening spaces for long textured electronic soundscapes filled with rich choral effects and deep bass-drones.
