AT THE ALTAR OF THE HORNED GOD returns to the scene with a surprising EP, "Elements," which temporarily deviates from the black metal paths usually followed by the Spanish band, shattering everyone's expectations. More than a new stylistic direction, "Elements" is a sort of intermezzo into which sole member Heolstor has poured his passion for post-punk, darkwave, ambient and electronics, creating four thematically connected songs, each dedicated to a different element.
The mix of electronic and post-punk is obviously revised in light of the strong ritual component that has always characterized the music of AT THE ALTAR OF THE HORNED GOD, here enriched with the typical nuances of bands such as Clan of Xymox, Fields Of The Nephilim and Dead CanDance.
The band's next full-length album will see a return to metal, but in the meantime let yourself be conquered by the dark melodies of "Elements".
