После прошлого просто прорыв. Эдакий упрощенный современный Enslaved. А может и не упрощенный. В общем - альбом удался.

Насколько я понимаю, тут уже от старого состава толком никого не осталось? Последние оригинальные люди после 2016-го разбежались?
Тоже самое чувство, утром ещё прогнал, вроде всё на месте и качественно, но..., завтра ещё попробую.

Просто замечательный альбом - как начал его слушать утром еще в лоу, так и не могу остановиться. Pure так не цеплял, однако... В мои любимцы, однозначно!
Deze, Ему сейчас Фогерти помогает из Old Forest и Ewigkeit. Тоже талантливый сонграйтер и просто хороший музыкант.
Daale, я вот сейчас почитал интервью про создание ещё прошлого альбома и окончательно запутался кто там кто и насколько важно для группы наличие братьев Ботерри. Но ясно что вклад рекрутированного Фогерти в новые альбомы таки да, ощутим. А ещё диагностирован пожар пониже спины у господина Кобро :
CrypticRock.com – Turning to new album Pure, it appears that Christian Botteri (guitar) composed a lot of the music, but the contribution of you, James, and Anders, was an indispensable part of the process of creating the album. Can you expand on your roles in making the music of Pure?
James Fogarty – If you took my contributions out in terms of the melodies, there would be nothing there. I think Anders gets a lot of the credit for basically the song structures. Christian and Christopher are almost like, the basics of the riffs, and I would fit the melodies and chord structures into it.
Anders Kobro – And you might say that I produced everything, as well as writing guitar riffs for Pure.
CrypticRock.com – Was it strange for you, James, to step into the creative process between the Botteri brothers, who had been making this music together since 1991? One might say this is their band, so how was it stepping into that creative process?
James Fogarty – It was quite fun. First trip to Norway and then you’re writing music with people you were listening to 20 years ago. My attitude was whatever you need done, I can do it. I can do a lot of different things that a band needs, not everything, but I can do a lot. So I just threw myself into it.
Anders Kobro – (вот здесь начинается пожар)Not to go into too many little details, but I have been in In The Woods… since the earliest days. I was 16 or 17, and sometimes I needed a kick in the ass from the other guys, but aside from a short period of time here and there I have been in the band from the beginning. It’s kind of dangerous to go into the personal details (laughs), but I have been mistakenly listed as a session drummer by some sources, but no. In The Woods… is as much my band as it is the Botteris. For you guys in the press, some details wind up being listed wrong.

P.S. Кстати, там в другом интервью я прочитал, что, собственно, и идея возрождения группы шла от Фогерти.
Deze, Блин, поржал. Ну, история расставит все на свои места. Пока то, что делают ребята в In the Woods... сейчас — мне нравится. Надеюсь, что новый альбом выйдет года через 2-3 и там нам удастся понять.
да ладно 666 зародыши сабжа гораздо глубже, чем такое сомнительное сравнение = и отнюдь не в пользу к сравниваемому [т.к. уже присутствовало в ITW до их {E} перерождения], так и к приводящему сиё подобное высказывание 666
По трезвяку даже не пытайся уж. Отличный альбом. Еще первый трек не кончился, а уже все понятно что здесь элегантно-экстремальный прог-метал. Ну и типично норвежские распевочки а-ля Arcturus, Borknagar, Enslaved шикарны.

По началу ничего не понял. А потом кааак понял... Очень даже крутой альбом. Действительно на Pure такого не было. Хотя стилистически они довольно близко, здесь есть гораздо больше от ранних In The Woods... (хотя конечно я напрасно по первости искал больше сходств, такой музыки уже никто никогда не сделает увы ), некоторый лесной дух. Местами очень захватывает дух от всего этого великолепия альбома.
