Other Then drum machine, no synthesizers, keyboards or sound modules were utilized in the recording of this CD. All indeterminate, Otherworldly sounds are either fretless guitar, voice, or woodwinds. Also, very few fixed pitch equal-tempered instruments were used. Most tuning is "just-intonated", which uses whole number frequency ratios of sound vibrations, producing sweeter and more powerful harmonies, and more then 12 notes per octave for a wider range of emotional expression. Ancient music did no use equal temperament, and the ancients were well aware of the psycho-acoustical properties and powers of intonation systems.
