Sanctuaire has returned with a new offering that combines both it’s melodic black metal and its ambient incarnations. This cassette consists once more of medieval hymns of war, hateful yet epic black metal in the pure nordic tradition, with it’s own twist. Catchy riffs allied with a poetry of winter and death sung in french.
The cold, buzzing guitars and the few keyboard parts add greatly to the atmosphere, with a sound that is reminescent of classics such as « Dark Medieval Times » or « In Times before the light ».
This release is interspersed with immersive ambient tracks, meditative soundscapes that reinforce this facet of the project, making in standing apart from other known Métal Noir acts.
Pro-tape with orange shell, double-sided 8 panel artwork, limited to 200 copies.
