Tragedy Divine were founded in the year 1990 under the name of Variety of Arts, and released a demo tape titled "Dreams Of Perfection" in late 1992.
In 1994 the band members decided to change the name into Tragedy Divine. In 1997 Tragedy Divine split-up when Jörg and Gerrit left and started a new band called Sacred Steel while Sven, Bernhard and Frank formed Spiral Tower.
