Completely agree. Just one note — "Black album" is not a bad thing at all. The ability of creating TV-hits entwined with a certain heaviness. "Chaos AD" is even less melodic and more heavy.

It took a really long time for me to get into this album. To catch it's atmosphere. It's absolutely uncomparable to earlier stuff, but still one of their best works. "Ratamahatta" sounds better for me than any track from Morbid Visions or Schizofrenia.

Yeah, if you like core music. These albums are easily their worst. Read up some reviews. It's not like I am the only one thinking this. Maybe you have horrible taste? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) (M-A says this - Death/Thrash Metal (early), Groove/Hardcore (later)) And the EARLY is what I like. The rest after Arise is Groove/Hardcore. Morbid Visions - 80%, Schizophrenia - 92%, Beneath the Remains - 93%, Arise - 89%, Chaos A.D. - 62%, Roots - 51%, Against - 53%, Nation - 29%, Roorback - 40%, Dante XXI - 56%, A-lex - 53%, Kairos - 76%. And I completely agree with these ratings. Not just cuz M-A says so, but because I've had numerous listening sessions to all their albums...Don't get butthurt cuz the music you listen to sucks.

The Black Album certainly is not BAD, but it's where Metallica went mainstream with songs like Enter Sandman for the radio. I am more into the underground gems from the golden era of 80's and 90's.

Это потому что ты не врублен в дьявольски огульный олдскульный метал 80-х. Наверняка не цепляют те же Sarcofago, Holocausto и проч.
