Мне 22, Кататонию начинал слушать с The Great Cold Distance, когда мне 17 было.
В 90-е был слишком мал и не имел возможности читать интервью и прочее, а также слушать ох...ые истории из первых уст, уж прости меня за это, пожалуйста.

История предыдущего альбома повторяется: там была Forsaker, здесь - Buildings. Там запихнули в трейлер все (буквально, 100%) нормальные куски из каждой песни, здесь аналогично. Хотя, я такого и ожидал, потому разочарования нет... только хорошего тоже маловато.

Прослушал на второй раз мнение не изменилось - слушать можно, но лучше обратить внимание на что то более стоящее. Вот например похожая музыка и мне понравилась в разы больше:
Sole Remedy - Apoptosis (2010)
Если жанры разные то простите, для меня эти группы похожи)))

Правильно писал выше BERZERK. Katatonia - не та группа, музыку которой нужно оценивать с ходу.
Надо постепенно прослушивать, вникать. Когда всё их творчество попало в мои руки - практически не впечатлило, кроме нескольких песен. Но постепенно список этих песен расширялся, пока не стал их поклонником.
Так и с каждым альбомом в отдельности. Этот после первого прослушивания меня тоже не зацепил. После 2-го - 3-го какие-то моменты начали нравиться.
Какое-то целостное мнение об альбоме составлять ещё рано, но ругать его точно не буду.

Такое ощущение, что все прослушали первые 3-4 трека и начали отписываться. Вторая половина альбома просто чудесна! Первая не запомнилась, действительно пока кажется унылой.

Хороший альбом всё-таки, расслушал как надо за последние пару дней. Забираю 320 и жду лося. Уже не кажется рипоффом колд дистанса, скорее некоторым развитием. Больше всего понравились треки Hypone и The Racing Heart.
