По-моему, это первый и самый лучший альбом "Железной Девы" без Дикенсона. Maiden без Блейза это супер и сольные альбомы самого Блейза отличные и качественные (чего только стоит последнее творение!). Вместе их совместное творчество увенчивалось успехом лишь в футбольной сфере, а вот альбомы выходили не такими яркими и искрометными как с "Сиреной" Дикенсоным...

Никогда мне Мэйдены не нравились, а после этого альбома я вообще их не слушал. За последние две недели послушал я сей диск аж 3 раза, и что-же...., а должен я сказать, что материал-то на нём неплохой, особенно музыка, местами мне даже очеь понравилось, правда вокал ещё хуже чем у Дикенсона, но в целом...хорошо, даже не думал, что когда-то про них такое скажу. Более других, мне приглянулась песня Blood on the hands of the world.

Восьмидесятые, ну от тебя с твоим ником не ожидал такой подставы С Дикинсоном разве что 90й как-то местами мимо, все остальные настоящий Iron Maiden Более того, Пол ДиАнно органичней был в их музыке, чем ББ, не смотря на далеко не сильные вокальные данные.

Могу слушать Мейденов только с Бейли, реально Мужской вокал, глубокий, с надрывом, с непередаваемой экспрессией... Пищалка Диккенсон вообще не то. Самое смешное, Бейли никогда не пел так круто, как в Iron Maiden, потому что явно косил под Диккенсона... И получалось лучше, черт возьми!)))

Хотел заметить, что альбом для меня совершенно особенный, и это было бы чистой правдой, но нюанс в том, что все без исключения релизы группы особенны, со своим неповторимым антуражем. На Икс-факторе дело даже не в Бэйли, хотя свою долю колорита он честно привнёс. Сменился общий курс движения группы, стало как никогда и нигде больше много чистых переборов, альбом, по сути, на половину состоит из квазибаллад, и даже в самой драйвовой здешней вещи, Judgement Of Heaven, нашлось место для акустики. Как сейчас помню, покупал кассету зимой в Кастыле, потом пошли к другу её слушать, и прогнали за вечер раз этак пять минимум (и даже без пива! чай, печеньки). Ощущения были очень странные вроде бы всё узнаваемо, и вокал более-менее похож, но все привычные фишки спрятаны, заретушированы, не бросаются в глаза. Если предыдущий, мой любимый Fear Of The Dark был настолько же хитов, насколько и прямолинеен, с кучей хуковых мелодий, лежащих на поверхности, то здесь повествование более сдержанное, пространное, неторопливое. Даже, наверное, загадочное, со своей тайной в каждой песне. Мне долгое время не давался альбом A Matter of Life and Death, раскусил я его совсем недавно, так вот сабж — его явный предвестник. Тёмный, но не мрачный, солидный, но не пафосный, спокойный, но не тусклый. Другая сторона таланта.

Переслушаваю очень-очень редко оба альбома с Блейзом. Всё таки можно было и кого получше на замену Дикенсону найти, почему именно его - загадка... Он и по тембру неподходит, и самобытности особой нет, лишь беспомощные потуги на подражание. ИМХО, конечно, неплохой альбом, но загублен на корню. Сольные дела ББ не слушал, хоть и советовали. Осадок остался

Подозреваю, Блейза взяли на замену как раз из-за классного надрыва в голосе, который оценили, увы, не многие. Подражание Диккенсону давалось ему нелегко, но вокал на пределе возможностей очень интересно раскрывался. В сольных делах ББ, к сожалению, этих надрывных ноток нет и в помине. К тому же, предельные нагрузки изрядно подсаживали его голосовые связки, ему просто нельзя было так петь. Так и остался для меня Блейз вокалистом двух альбомов, а Iron Maiden - группой двух альбомов. Ах да, и Virus
Именно. Музыка на этих альбомах и писалась под Блэйза, и он вытянул все с достоинством
Кстати да, верно подмечено, когда слушаешь старые вещи Мейденов в исполнении Блейза, звучит не очень

Полностью согласен с рецензией от OV, от себя лишь добавлю, что этот альбом слушается очень целостно и монолитно. Пожалуй, это единственный альбом, который слушается на одном дыхании. И да, он действительно очень темный по своей энергетике, уникальная работа. Однако при все условной уникальности не могу назвать пластинку своей любимой и даже входящей в топ. Йа фанат альбомов с Брюквой)

Этот альбом понравился мне с первого раза, залетел в мозг со страшной скоростью усвояемости и понимания, люблю я этот альбом и сейчас, не скажу что слушаю часто, но если включаю то слушаю не один раз и не два, просто кручу без остановки и растворяюсь в нём, я люблю у мэйденов все альбомы и не уменьшая достоинств каждого скажу лишь что каждый является личностью и особенностью для меня . И по этому включу ка я ИКС-ФАКТОР ещё ............. МНОГО РАЗКОВ ПОДРЯД, Я ОТ НЕГО ТОРЧУ НЕИМОВЕРНО !!!

Альбом без сомнения один из самых удачных работ ЖелезноБабы. И однозначно лучший с Бейли. Неповторимо.

Сижу тут, переслушиваю эту пластинку. Йопт, да это же чистой воды предтеча того, чем Мейдены занимаются на двух своих последних альбомах, только с другим, довольно противным вокалом. Эх, перезаписать бы его с Диккинсоном, тогда можно было почаще слушать альбом. А то кряхтения эти и завывания все портят под корень.

Отлично, но мне альбом всегда нравился. Последний раз буквально позавчера, на ютубе какую-то версию от умельца, добавившего пару гитарных дорожек — интересное, но сомнительное, к тому же он бас по дороге растерял.

Спустя почти 3 десятка лет я так и не нашёл в этом альбоме ничего. Всё ж на "Fear of..." Ирина для меня свою карьеру завершила окончательно.

в 95-96 послушал и отложил до лучших времен. Сегодня достал, понюхал: вроде бы нормально, надо будет получше изучить. Но Дикинсон, на мой взгляд, получше смотрелся бы.

В рамках тура прощания с Полом Ди'Анно переслушиваю всю дискографию. Ощущения не изменились, Бейли остаётся для меня худшим вокалистом Мейденов. Самое главное - я не могу понять, что это за "надрыв в голосе", из-за которого его собственно взяли (выше про это пишут). Как по мне, абсолютно заурядный вокал без каких-либо примечательных нюансов. Я ведь и его сольное пытался слушать. Тот же Пол обладает моментально узнаваемым тембром, непохожим на другие. И сонграйтинг как будто занижен специально для Бейли, практически исчезли все фишечки-рюшечки, за которые я и люблю эту группу. Почти везде - простая, если не сказать примитивная песенная структура с монотонным, если не сказать заунывным речитативом припева. За очень, очень редким исключением.
Прям как в детстве: возьмёшь в библиотеке книжицу старую, а там - комменты на страницах от предыдущих читателей перьевой ручкой: "очень хорошая книга!" - и местами к иллюстрациям хрены пририсованы. Чем хороший-то? Если бы это записали не IM, никто б и не заметил. А так - думай, что хотели сказать и почему ж всё так безблагодатно-то вышло.

Надо переслушать, потому что тоже запомнился хорошим альбомом.
Сумрачной атмосферой как минимум, интересным экспериментированием со стилем и открывающим альбом Крестным Знамением. Да, изъяны у этого альбома (сыроватый звук, значительно более слабый, чем у Брюса, хотя и дополняющий атмосферу здесь, голос Бейли) слишком фактурные, но при должном подходе к себе Икс-Фактор может увлечь и даже заставить помириться с некоторыми из своих недочётов.
