Cпешу реализовать старую идею, вынесенную в название темы.

Iazva, I discovered a band a few days ago. I knew about them, but never knew that they were playing such amazing technical death metal in their early days:

Nomicon (Finland)


I listened to their 2001 album: "Halla", a couple of years ago, but it was atmospheric doom/black metal, nothing to do with technical death. A few days ago I came across their early works (1990-1996): several demos and one split. Man, this is one of the finest technical death metal I've ever listened to in my life! It's paradise, bro! Check it out, and let me know what you think! I've been listening to them for the past few days, and nothing else. It's addictive.

Their other album: "Yellow" (1997), is progressive symphonic black/death metal; also great stuff, and very technical, too. Check it out as well. Cheers.

Не претендуя на объективность, соглашусь с этим мнением. По мне, так предыдущий их альбом гораздо лучше. Но и его я бы сюда включать не стал.

По-моему это не показатель шедевральности - мало ли кто на кого ориентируется в данный момент? Это не гарантирует группам-ориентирам место в памяти поколений. Да и вообще для кого как, шедевральность - понятие относительное и субъективное. Я, например, в гораздо большей степени склонен считать шедевральным творчество тех же Ulcerate, но никак не Beneath The Massacre, а The Faceless я лично вообще терпеть не могу.

У них несколько разная музыка - Иммоляторы не доходят до таких глубин атональности - а ритмически, да, они несколько схожи, да и по настроению - тоже.
Но мне кажется, что ни те, ни другие к техно-дету не относятся вообще. Ульсераторы так вообще на последнем альбоме представили какой то авангард психоделически-подводно-депрессивного свойства, и явно без упора именно на техничность.

Так о чем и речь. Я просто так акцентировал внимание на некоей схожести групп только потому, что в этой теме часто камрады предлагают в список такие банды которые либо не подходят стилистически (это как раз про Ulcerate) , либо вторичны насквозь.
Насчет разности музыки - безусловно это так, речь о каком либо тотальном сходстве не идет. Я имею в виду, что при выработке своего звучания новозеландцы использовали несколько переработанное и адаптированное творческое наследие Immolation (и Neurosis тоже). И это их видение мне нравится, пусть они уже и далековато от дэта ушли.
