Hello there, folks. Just a food for thought: I think that for a band to qualify for the "zolotoi fond", they should AT LEAST HAVE 3 FULL-LENGTH ALBUMS BELONGING TO THE TECHNICAL DEATH METAL GENRE OF A FAIRLY HIGH QUALITY. This means that if a band have 3 full-length albums, but two are direct standard death metal, and only one is technical death metal, then this band can not qualify for the "zolotoi fond"; maybe we can open a "serebriannui fond" for those other bands. If this is the major criterion, then CYNIC can not qualify for the "fond", with only one album dedicated to the genre. Neither can NECROPHAGIST, with two albums only separated by whole 6 years. For example, SERDCE (Belarus) can not be placed there, either: their debut is progressive power/thrash metal, unlike the next two which are technical/progressive death metal.

So, based on the AT LEAST 3 FULL-LENGTH TECHNICAL DEATH METAL ALBUM criterion, here is my top ten list:

1. Death
2. Atheist
3. Pestilence
4. Gorguts
5. Theory in Practice
6. Sceptic
7. Suffocation
8. Decapitated
9. Hieronymus Bosch
10. Sadist

Other bands, which fulfill the above criterion, and can be considered for the "zolotoi fond", are:

However, my first idea was to make the list of the best techno-death albums, not bands.
There're several great bands, who recorded only one or two perfect albums (or even only demo-recordings), for instance Pitbulls In The Nursery or Continuo Renacer. But these albums are actualy the best records in a whole genre, and people must listen to them in any case, do you agree with me?

On the other hand, you proposal about 3 FULL-LENGTH TECHNICAL DEATH METAL ALBUMS from one band can also go to holywars in discussion three times more often. Because, to my mind, Martyr has exactly three albums, but you think they don't (IMG:style_emoticons/default/13.gif)

Oh, sorry, but I think you have misunderstood me. The bands below the top ten, the other suggestions which I have listed, all of them do have 3 full-legth albums. They all do fulfill the criterion; Martyr are one of them. This list does not contain bands with less than 3 albums, and includes those who have exactly 3 albums, too. Maybe I should have made myself more clear, I see your point.

Yes, I totally agree that there are quite a bunch of bands who have only left one album as a legacy to the world, and many of them could be considered the peak of the whole technical death metal movement. I am compiling a list of those albums at the moment. Will be out in a moment.

ONE-ALBUM WONDERS

This is a list of acts who have only released one solitary album, before disappearing without (or with just a little) trace. Almost each of those releases could be topping an eternal top ten of any fan. So here it is:

But that left aside, "Tears of the Unborn" is a great album, there's no doubt about that

Well, with Atheist back in business, I think that Gnostic may as well remain with this only album. If Atheist's career takes off (and, judging by the great "Jupiter", it definitely will), I totally see Gnostic as just a side-project for Steve Flynn and the others.

On the other hand, we have bands with a steady lasting career in the death/black/thrash metal genre, releasing the occasional technical death metal album, but all of those seem to be of a pretty high quality:

И я вот не знаю, как их так смело все кидают в топ. Всё же с дезом у меня после прослушивания всех альбомов (включая демки) ассоциаций не осталось. Если уж речь шла о том, что бы сделать фонд для тех, кто хочет ознакомится с техно-дэзом и с чего ему начать, то, если бы я начал слушать техно-дэз с Цинико, то имхо никогда бы не вернулся больше к этому стилю...

но это лишь моё имхо)

я в технические запилы влюбился послушав Decrepit Birth - Diminishing Between Worlds и Polarity которых к сожалению нет в фонде. считаю им там тоже место как и Suffocation'овскому Despise the sun)

Guys, check out the new addition Funeral Speech, another fine technical death metal entry from Russia. The album is titled "E Tenebris", released in 2010: excellent dynamic music with touches of later-period Death and Sceptic.

Ну Afflicted - Prodigal Sun, вообще один из первых техно-дэт альбомов, в шапке лучше ему быть. У него просто звук плохой. А вот Crystal Age действительно более олд скул - мелодик, чем техно.
